International Conference on Learning Disabilities was an Immediate Success
From 1 to 3 July, the International Academy for Research in Learning Disabilities (IARLD) organised a conference on learning disabilities at Artevelde University College. We received a range of experts from all over the world to have a look at the most recent research developments on learning disabilities, and to introduce our guests to our lovely city.
Despite a railway strike and some other logistical challenges, the conference was a great success. During six symposia, numerous poster sessions and round tables, we had a look at new studies on themes like dyslexia, the influence of parents on learning disorders and the attitude of teachers towards learning disorders.
It was an honour to receive our participants and we are very happy with the praise we received from them on the way we organised the conference.
